Our first meeting will be on Tuesday 9th September, from 7.30 to 9.30, at our new venue in Ledsham Park, St Leonards-on-sea.
Term dates:
Tuesday 9th September to Tuesday 16th December with half term break on 28th October.
Performance opportunities:
Almost from the off we have a packed agenda, including the following:
23rd September. The Baton of Hope relay at the Stade in the Old Town. We will be performing early evening. This replaces our Tuesday evening rehearsal.
11th October. The Big Sing at St John's church, St Leonards-on-sea, in support of St Michael's Hospice. We will be singing at 3pm.
6th December. The Seaview concert at St John's church. We will be singing at 5pm.
19th December. “Now That’s What We Call Christmas” concert at All Saints ‘church in the Old Town, which starts at 7.30.
In the run up to Christmas there will also be opportunities to sing at two or three care homes in or around Hastings, which are joyous events for both singers and audience.
More details of each of these events will be uploaded nearer to the dates. Members are welcome to sing at all of these performances; at one or two of them or, indeed, at none of them. No pressure, it is entirely up to you.
We look forward to seeing your happy faces, old and new, in September. The first session is free for potential new members. Try before you buy!
Payment details:
Cost: 14 sessions at £5 = £70.
You register by responding to the availability request below. Select 'I will be attending' to register and then click the Update button. You will then be sent an invoice by email with payment details.
It is still possible to pay in two instalments of £35 at the start and at half term but your invoice will not be marked as paid until the balance has been paid in full.
You can also still pay by cheque payable to Sound Waves Community Choir.
If you want to have your music printed for you please add £12 to your payment and send an email to events@soundwaveschoir.org.uk informing them of your requirement [it is important that you do this so that we know who to print copies for].
